Who we are

Finer Vision is the AI capability arm of the Mediazoo group. Our website is finervision.app. Mediazoo (mediazoo.tv) is the data controller for information collected through this website.

What information we collect

We collect the following types of personal data:

  • Contact form submissions: your name, email address, company name, job title (optional) and message. You provide this when you get in touch through our contact form.
  • Free course sign-ups: your first name, work email, company name and optional marketing choice. You provide these details when you unlock the course downloads.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files stored on your device that help us understand how the website is used. See our cookies policy for full details.
  • Usage data: if you accept optional cookies, our campaign measurement provider receives information such as the page URL, referrer, IP address, browser and device characteristics, and a timestamp.

How we use your information

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiry. When you submit the contact form, we use your details to reply and follow up on your request.
  • To provide the free course. We use the details you submit to unlock and administer your course request.
  • To improve the website. We analyse usage data and cookies, where you have accepted them, to understand how visitors use the site, fix problems and improve the experience.
  • To send marketing communications. We will only send you marketing material if you actively select the optional follow-up box. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

We do not sell your personal data or use it to make automated decisions about you. If you accept optional cookies, LinkedIn may use measurement data for campaign reporting and audience features under its own policy.

Legal basis for processing

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interests: to respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form, and to provide and administer a course download someone has requested. Our interests are operating these services and understanding business demand; we use only the details needed for those purposes and respect your rights.
  • Consent: for optional course follow-up and marketing, and for placing optional measurement cookies on your device.
  • Contractual necessity: where processing is needed to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

How we share your information

We share personal data only where necessary and with appropriate safeguards:

  • The Mediazoo group. As Finer Vision is part of the Mediazoo group, your data may be shared within the group for administration and to respond to your enquiry.
  • Hosting, security and database providers. These providers deliver and protect the website and securely store form submissions on our behalf.
  • Our customer relationship platform. Contact and course submissions are processed there to manage enquiries, course requests and consented follow-up. The provider acts as a processor on our behalf.
  • Campaign measurement. If you accept optional cookies, LinkedIn receives the usage data described above to measure visits and campaign performance.
  • hCaptcha. If abuse protection is enabled, our form uses hCaptcha to distinguish people from automated abuse.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties for their marketing purposes.

International transfers

Some service providers may process personal data outside the UK. Where this is a restricted transfer, we rely on an applicable adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us if you would like more information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it:

  • Usage data and server logs: retained for up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymised.

If we enter into a contract with you or your organisation, we will retain related records for six years after the contract ends, to meet legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Depending on the lawful basis and the circumstances, your UK GDPR rights include the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data (the "right to be forgotten"), where there is no legal reason for us to keep it.
  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
  • Data portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format and transfer it to another controller.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent as the legal basis. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or email us at hello@finervision.com.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page and mark your message for the data controller. We will respond within one month.

Your right to object

You can object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. We will stop direct marketing when you object. For other objections, we will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue or need the information for legal claims.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk or by phone on 0303 123 1113.

Providing your information

You are not legally or contractually required to provide information through this website. Without the required form details, we cannot reply to an enquiry or process a course request. The optional marketing choice does not affect access to the course.
